'Gas' is the only one that cannot be suffixed with '-osexual'.

Yours is most probably the sensible answer! Asked everyone at work who came up with all sorts of bizarre explanations!. This is either an ingenious question or something ridiculous!

The question in Great Fun Quiz 112 is slightly different:

16. Which of the following words is the odd one out? ‘dime’, ‘gas’, ‘home’ or ‘man’. There is really only one answer
to this but you may explain your reasoning if you so wish!

Gas is the only one that doesn't have an 'm' in it.

I wish it was that easy! but I fear it isn't. Maybe something to do with the way they sound but it has me totally bamboozled!
