Remember this from prior page? Since my german is not very good I had to improvise. I couldn't call my mom or sister (who both speak fluent german due to the time I posted it - they sleep). I called my mom the following day and told her that I put that as an option. My mom said "YOU
DID WHAT? YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?" I said oh, is it right? She asked me "what kind of daughter did I raise!!!!" She also laughed. Laughing Laughing I told her hey that is the point. Raise was not an option. Razz Laughing Laughing Laughing

setting up the riddle
1=t/8-t/13+t/25
1=(325t-200t+104t)/2600
1=229t/2600
229t=2600
t=11.3537 sec
Every 11.3537sec, the Population of the Duchy of Grand Fenwic grows by one.

This is your way out of answering the birth riddle isn't it? Very Happy

Oh, changing the rules AGAIN Twisted Evil
It doesn't matter since I never broke them Razz
This is the one I was trying to figure out and ended up with the answer to the connect the dot one. Go figure. Confused

Oh thoh I remember I kept trying to use 9 Laughing Laughing and I used toothpicks because I don't have matches.

Mark did answer it a T-thingy Laughing Laughing

I was trying to figure out how to show it on the computer. I do know (thanks to your help though, I meant thoh) the answer but, I have 2. One
like I said was to lay them out as one triangle and hold the others from each end of the laid out one so they gather together at the top (no, I am not still holding them either). It is 3-D so for it to be 2-D (is that a term even?) the only way I know is to lay one out and overlap the other on top and don't add that as a rule (you can't over lap them). Do you realize how hard it is to keep the toothpicks from rolling off. Twisted Evil

Not to mention I feel like a kid playing with toothpicks!!!!!
btw according to spellcheck "thingy is not a word" Rolling Eyes

Hi mark and I will go with raps answer even though I don't quite understand it.
Sorry Tryagain to use up so much of your thread. It is mark's and thoh's fault Very Happy

You do mean literally break right? Not break as in all have to touch without leaving any openings or spaces. I can do it if I leave openings and don't have the ends touch.

OR........
I like my way better because technically 1 triangle is 3 - just turn your head or the triangle and there is one at each angle so that makes 3.
Then just lay a toothpick towards the top of one of the points before it meets. Then you have 4. The other toothpicks can just be touching the triangle doing nothing because you have to use them in the equation. So, technically all 6 are being used to make 4. Why can't this be an option?

Answer: form a tetrahedron...u have to think outside the box for this one (or outside the triangle) Laughing

as for overlaping matches....not as elegant

and a kite? not unless u have different sized matches....

I didn't know you could speak Chinese; wo jue de ni hen ke ai! Razz

Mark: (A very rich locksmith)

LOCKSMITH
$61.50 Cool

Rap: (Adult movie star)

$61.50 Cool

Divide $9,626.09 by 3,600 seconds to determine the locksmith's rate per second -- $2.673913889 per second. Multiply this by 23 to determine the bill. Now, for all those who thought it too difficult, I ask you; how easy was that?

"You'll have to sell 7 videotapes to recoup."

Seven you say. They are flying of the A2kay shelves! After all, it doesn't hurt to take a hard look at yourself from time to time… and this should help get you started:

During a visit to the local mental asylum, TTH asked the Director what the criterion was that defined whether or not Try should be institutionalized.

"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the person and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," said TTH. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."

"No," said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug….. Do you want a room with or without a view?" Laughing

Currently, the numbers 49,067 and 58,132 appear in these two blocks. Shocked

4 9 0 6 7

5 8 1 3 2

Can you switch the positions of no more than four figures to create two new numbers so that one number will be twice as large as the other?

(The switching of say; 6&3 would count as ONE)

I did do the problem but didn't have time to enter the answers. Otherwise I am late. Pilots being late (with the aircraft) is headline news now.
I have wings. I really do. Not the ones like a angel has, but real pilot wings. They are 757 aircraft wings. You should have seen the military pilot's faces when they saw those on my jacket at the last airshow. Some even did a double take. I got them, Oh sorry, this is not the trivia section.

I could not figure this one out. Confused

The locksmith I came up with $61.500019442=$61.50
60 seconds in a minute x 60 minutes in an hour = 3600
$9626.09 per hour / 3600 = 2.67391388888 x 23 seconds

WHAT ^ up there!! Twisted Evil

So if I understood this right I was going to have you locked up but, I got locked up instead!!! OMG
My answer would have been the bucket so you are right. Laughing

That means I am not normal, oh, I already knew that since the doctor accidently hit me in the head instead of the butt when I was born because he could not tell the difference. At least that is what my brothers and sisters tell me. I want a room with a view btw LaughingLaughing
