Shari, Mark is totally jealous. However if he puts the video on fBay there could be a problem - now put the blanket down, that's the one I use for the horses.

What a way to start the day! To be continued in the shower… :wink:

"Try, Why, is the person in the red car in DANGER?"
No danger, whoever owns it gets pregnant!

The girl in the Blue, I think it was a Dodge Stratus was parked next to my Audi and I couldn't tell the difference……

Mark, I have to fess up and say I was about to post a similar problem (WWTC). If nobody comes up with an answer (and I doubt they will) I will look to see what names plug in where. Great puzzle and even better story. How should I know if Shari has a sister, ask her yourself, she won't bite… Laughing

A loaded coin has probability of landing on heads of 0.6 and for tail 0.4. Winning bets on heads pay even money. With an initial fortune of $10 and betting $1 at a time what is the probability of eventual ruin assuming you kept playing until being ruined Question

And I recognize the other one but I cant get the order of the words together...... Crying or Very sad

I think that my sister needs a stable guy with a nice job and good head on his shoulders. She just broke up with her loser boyfriend of like 6 yrs so she is vulnerable right now.

Eight rebus puzzlers reached the quarterfinals of the Tryagain Invitational Tournament (TIT), in which a single loss means you're out. The contestants were Bode Miller, Dadpad, Dick Cheney, Lindsey Jacobellis, Mark, Rap, Shari, and Tryagain. They were seeded (ranked) from 1st (highest) through 8th (lowest), then written into the quarterfinal columns on the left end of the table below, next to their ranks (which appear in parentheses). From the following clues, can you figure out which contestant was seeded where, and complete the table to determine who won the tournament?

1. Of the seven games played during the event (four in the quarterfinals, two in the semifinals, and one in the finals), the higher-ranked contestant won only three times.
2. Shari was one of just two quarterfinal winners who were ranked higher than their opponent.
3. One finalist was seeded two ranks higher than the other finalist.
4. The 7th-seeded contestant was eliminated by a shotgun blast from Dick Cheney.
5. Lindsey Jacobellis reached the finals by defeating contestants ranked both lower and higher than she. She started celebrating before the final game was completed.
6. Tryagain, who was not the 4th seed, ranked just below Shari (a position he rather enjoyed).
7. Bode Miller played more than one game, which meant he was more successful in the TIT than in the Olympics.
8. Dadpad was ranked higher than Mark but lower than Rap.

Code: QUARTERS SEMIS FINALS CHAMPION

That's what I get for jumping before I think. The order of the tree isn't 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 (Which is the way I worked it as I was falling to sleep last night.)

When I went back to the correct tree (above) with the QF seed games being (1,8)(5,4)(3,6)(7,2)

then I came up with 1 as me, 2 as DC, 3 as DP, 4 as SH, 5 as Try, 6 as LC, 7 as you, & 8 as BM

SF then is BM(8) vs SH(4) and LC(6) vs DC(2)

Final is LC(6) vs SH(4)

Then BM(8)vsSH(4) in SF has BM(8) winning and Finals is LJ(6)vsBM(8) has LJ(6) winning
BM plays 3 games which is >1 & LJ goes beats higher, higher, lower for championship.

After this---I give up I'm whupped.

LOADED COIN
The answer is (2/3)^10 = ~ 0.017342 .

Let pi be the probability of ruin given a bankroll of $i.
p1 = .4 + .6*p2
p2 = .4*p1 + .6*p3
p3 = .4*p2 + .6*p4
p4 = .4*p3 + .6*p5
p5 = .4*p4 + .6*p6
.
.
.
Now sum the equations.
Sum for i=1 to infinity of pi = .4 + .4*(sum for i=1 to infinity of pi) + .6*(sum for i=2 to infinity of pi)
Sum for i=1 to infinity of pi = .4 + (sum for i=1 to infinity of pi) -.6*p1)
.6*p1=.4
p1=.4/.6 = 2/3
At this point you can use substitution to find that pi=(2/3)^i.
So p10=(2/3)^10 = ~0.017342

In this year's just-played Wibbledown Women's Tennis Championship, Shari and seven other women players reached the quarterfinals, where four of them won to advance to the semifinals; the two semifinal winners then met for the Women's Singles title on Sunday. All matches were best 2-out-of-3 sets. Given the match results below, can you solve this tricky Logic Puzzle by scoring who won and lost each match (quarterfinals, semifinals, and final) of Wibbledown 2006?

Debbie, who isn't Miss King, won one set by a 6-0 score.
In a quarterfinal match, Erica defeated Miss Wade 6-2, 6-1.
Faith lost one of the semifinal matches 6-4, 6-3.

In one match during the three rounds, Miss Evert outlasted Miss Riggs 6-4, 6-7, 6-2.

Miss Trabert exited Wibbledown before the championship final, losing her last match 6-3, 6-0.

Beth upset the higher-seeded Miss King in one match.

Faith, Miss Connors, and Miss Gonzales entered the tournament as past champions.

Heather and Miss Evert team for Women's Doubles competition.

Alicia faced Miss Connelly in one match in the three rounds.

Jenny and Miss Wade both use Wilson tennis rackets.

During their matches in the three rounds, Heather lost a total of four sets while Miss Gonzales lost a total of three. Twisted Evil Shocked Drunk
