The story line lacks creditability.

What could she do to maximize her chances of freedom Question

Hide the jars! Laughing Or, sneak into the marble room when everyone was asleep, and take sand paper to the marble she wanted, that way the blind fold wouldn't matter, she would recognize her gem by touch. Very Happy

Or, carry a green gem between her fingers or up her sleeve when she enters the room, act innocent and cute, and trick the computer librarian.

That's if she wanted to leave in the first place, he sounds like the perfect geek for her.

if the jars can be shaken, they're not packed to the rim. therefore, she can take enough of the green beads and put them into the jar with red beads so that she can tell by touch which jar has more beads, then pick one from the jar with fewer beads.

BOILER/SHIP
3/4

PIPES
7.2 hours (or whatever the units were)

BEADS
One jar gets one green bead. The other jar gets all of the other beads. Probability of survival is:
1/2 * 1 + 1/2 * 49/99
which is damn close to .75

RAPTORS
Toronto?

YELLOWSTONE BEERS
They treated me fine. A couple of them were Moose Drool and Bitch Creek.
