When reading, leave out [d] in "and" in this sentence?

Because the "and" is placed before "the", so we have to leave out the pronunciation of [d] in the "and" in speaking?

Context

The rhyme shows the mood of the people and the mind of the Heaven.

No, a clear speaker will leave it in. Especially if they are speaking fairly slowly.

Not, i think, written by a native English speaker. There should be no article before the word heaven.

The 'd' sound in 'and' is often left out in speech, Ori.
