@Mame,
Can we go forward instead of back? I would love to see what the world is like a thousand years from now.

I'd love to go back to a time when Ireland was a time of magic. When the Tuatha de Danann and giants were common... or not. ;-)
Or maybe to Eden. I'm not huge on apples.
The idea of dental work scares the begeebers outta me, so I'd rather check out the future too.

@Mame,

It 'd be good to go back to 9/1/1 and warn W and the FBI
of the Moslems' plans for 9/11/1, and bring along charts
showing the stock market performance and horse racing results.

I wouldn't want to visit too long in a time before novocaine and general anesthesia. Bad things could happen.

I'd like to also visit the dawn of man

Why, having already visited the dawn with countless men? Smile

They were warned, you doofus! Had you done that, you'd have been illegally "rendited".

Hmmmm, anybody got a spare time machine?

@Green Witch,
Of course, GW!

I just need three things: beautiful gowns, beautiful orchards, and a beau.

None of which I currently have access to.

@Lash,
Quote:
If for a few days, I think it would be a worthwhile adventure to immerse in a time where I could have tried to be of help - like MS in the 60s, Germany in the 40s, SF in the 60s (OK, that's not to help anyone), Ireland at any time besides the Potato Famine - not that I like potatoes terribly much - or the hunger strike period more recently in history. You see a pattern.

If you want the world of cabaret, you want Berlin in the late 30s. The 40s weren't so good (well maybe 40-41) , unless you liked bomb shelters.

The west coast in the late 60s was good, as much as I remember.

@Mame,
I woul go back to meet Jesus. No other mortal, whether you believe h is the son of God or not has had such an effect on the world. To experience the peace he gave would be wondrful
