And there as between one and two inches of snow when i went outside to shovel the steps and the sidewalk about a half hour ago . . . it's not much, but it is appreciated . . .

@Setanta,
Sorry to be so late getting back to you Set. I think I've got your snow. (Some sort of postal mix-up, likely.)

We finally got snow here, just in time for the first day of winter. The
locals celebrated by conducting an impromptu demolition derby at rush
hour. Ah, festive red and blue lights wherever one looked! As a public
service, I offered helpful driving tips and hints to my fellow motorists.
At the top of my lungs.

@Region Philbis,
At one point I emphasized that vehicles should merge one (ONE!) at a time.

The weather man here came up with a feeble comment about a white Christmas, to the effect that it won't warm up enough for the snow we've got to melt. Hey . . . that ain't what a white Christmas is about--we need snow falling, like in the Christmas card illustrations . . .

Dun good, George! I bet they really appreciated your assistance Twisted Evil

Set - you can surely have my share. We ain't got any - but a couple of hours south and west of here there's a cuppla inches. And that is weird....just before Christmas! I can never work out why all those Christmas cards have snow on them. We don't even get snow in winter!

@margo,
Are you in Victoria? Was that in the mountains? Snow in Oz in the summer? That don't compute . . .

You're telling me it don't compute! Bloody odd, I tell you. Some places only a cuppla hours from here on the western tablelands look like having a white Christmas! And there I was thinking of travelling to Europe to see such a thing.

and I'm in Sydney!

@margo,
I erroneously told you my brother was in Sydney. He's in Melbourne and I talked to him the other day, he was complaining of the cold! He's a canuck, so it must be. He said there was snow in the hills surrounding the city. I must admit, I was kind of shocked. Even we don't get snow on the summer solstice here.
