Well I can't exactly give you a country that can be considered the "best," but I can tell you that America and what you've described of England, they sound practically the same when it comes to the "rudeness" and government corruption factors. I heard Canada is a peaceful place to reside..

Canada still has few problems compared to America.

Should the thread's lead question be expanded to read, "Which is the best country to live in, for the most types of people, regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, or religion?" I would think the U.S.A. then qualifies as numero uno, in my opinion.

All these comparison comments re Canada and USA are gross over simplifications. How can you compare 2 nations whose places politically in the world are as different as night and day. USA may be welcoming foreign people a BIT TOO much to be honest - especially when illegal (undocumented) aliens get rights. Show me another country that does that.

Foreign people are like angels or fairies. They have supernatural powers that they will employ to solve all of your nation's ills: Unemployment, crime, potholed roads, pollution, underperforming inner city schools, and even the public's addiction to the self-destructive antics of B grade celebs...if you just welcome them and treat them kindly and with hospitality.

We should have known what with all the fairy tales and bible stories that have been trying to teach us the way for thousands of years.

Trust those sensible and warm hearted Canadians to discover what was right there, before all of our eyes, for so long. Too bad they're so damned unassuming though. They need to speak up a bit more and let everyone know the secret. We could have eliminated hunger and war years ago if they were a little more cocksure...like their southern neighbors.

Of course this solution means a world wide schedule of population re-location so that every nation is assured of enough Foreign People who will work their magic once triggered by a smile and a nice cup of tea, but that a small price to pay...especially since everyone relocated is guaranteed to be welcomed in their new home.

I think Muslims and brown people are doing pretty well in this country, but you obviously have proof to the contrary. Please don't release it in America though or we will lose all of our cab drivers, convenience store owner/operators and low end hotel magnates...not to mention a small army of software geeks.

I've been in Canada several times. Wouldn't mind living there, not at all.

I've been reading that brown people and/or Muslims are really being treated badly in the UK. I'm not making a judgment about it - but it pops up in news snippets and dialogue from people across the pond.

Too bad there wasn't a poll. I'd like to see the countries that are topping the list. I don't feel like I can give a decent answer, because I haven't visited another country yet.

Well if either of you decide to come up north, I'd be happy to give you a place to rest your head, just don't come in the winter, I'd like you to see this place in the best light, and the warmest if possible....

The question does not imply there is a competition between people in the U.S.A.

The question only asks which is the best country to live in, as one is. It is better to live in the U.S.A. if one is brown or Muslim, since one can still opitimize one's abilities in the U.S.A.
