Well my copy writers mind completely dried up when it came to making up a name for my business. I need help.

Factors:

my stuff, bracelets and necklaces are built with large stones, lava rock, agate, peridot, coral , jade to give it a more primitive, early Hawaii look. but I cannot for the life of me come up with a name for my business - that reflects it is from Hawaii. (I'm working for the tourist trade).

I'm looking for a snappy one-word name. "You know like Dior or something.

or a snappy two word name: thusfar rejects include:

Pele's Tears
Puna Moon
Ka'u Kreations

Any ideas, Hawaii theme et al.

@Sglass,
Would "Kahiko" be too grandiose?

According to this site it means "traditional, old, ancient."

http://www.alohafriendsluau.com/words.html

Lani might be nice ("heavenly").

Mahina ("moon.")

Opala could be funny if it's for the tourist trade. :-) (Sounds jewelry-ish, but means "trash.")

A-ha! Pohaku means "stone" or "rock." That seems good!!

I was thinking in terms of memory/momento/keepsake so I looked up an English to Hawaiian dictionary. The only one of those words I found was memory which translated to ho'omana'o 'ana.

I have no idea what that sounds like when spoken though. People might even be afraid to try to say it and I think you'd want a word people would say.

It seems like it would be effective when dealing with tourists to say "it means "memory" so it will help you to always remember your trip" or some such thing. It kind of gives them a reason to buy it other than just thinking it's beautiful.

Still playing with the dictionary....

"Beautiful island" looks like it would translate to "Nani moku" which looks easy to say.

@Ceili,
That was my choice. It seems to project tranquility and comfort. I don't know why a few pieces couldn't be made with seaglass.

Seaglass and I exchanged some emails early. I think I sent her some link to a bunch of seaglass. How dumb am I, she already knew.

Still I like that name and would like it being part of the "firm" name.

@Sglass,
Sea-glass is already used to make bracelets etc, I don't see how it could be linked specifically with Hawaii unless I suppose you call it Hawaiian Sea-Glass.
