Hi all,

could anyone translate "to absent friends" in to Latin please

I want a tattoo for two friends that died and want use the line from the toast so rather than just converting each word I need the grammar to reflect the meaning

Cheers, Joe

@alicedj,
"to absent friends"
amicis absentibus

amicis --> to friends
absentibus --> absent

Please read this.

@George,
thanks for that George

I did see a very similar translation for the same saying but can't find it again, the only difference was it was actually 3 words, I think the "to" was split out

@alicedj,
If you find it, please post it here.
I'd be interested in what they used for "to".

@George,
Hi George,

clearing out the garage at the weekend and I found it

@alicedj,
Thanks. alicedj.
Pro has the sense of "for" more than "to".
