I don't know if this belongs on "Movies that Make You Feel Good", or "Guilty Pleasures".
Today I watched a dumb, one joke movie which I have seen a number of times in the past. It is called "The Out of Towners", a 1970 flick starring Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis.
I was in a crappy mood, and this movie got me right out of the "blahs".
I enjoyed The Out of Towners when it was new. I would probably still laugh if I watched it again.

"Goin South" would also be a prime candidate.

i'm intrigued by some of the choices, i don't consider them feel good movies (Stardust for one example), they are films that might make you feel good or give you enjoyment
i think of feel good movies as, now were going to hit you over the head with a story that is gonna at first depress you and then uplift you, the cinematic equivalent of Up With People, crap like, Rudy, The Blind Side Marley and Me

Just watched "The Princess Diaries" Disney has a knack of hitting the spot
The movie did not have to dip deep into despair to provoke a good feeling for the resolution in the end. Julie Andrews was terrific!

I felt uplifted at the end of Rocky and My Fair Lady, to name two. I don't have time to further think about it just now.
