I am a 58 year old female who recently had major back surgery to correct my scoliosis (62 degree curve). My bones are so soft in the lumbar area of my spine that the surgeon had to use wires to secure the rods. I also had one fractured vertebrae.

I would suggest if you are unsure that you get a second opinion and look into the side effects to make sure you think it will be worth it in both the best and worst case scenarios.
