@Region Philbis,
My Grand daughter (14) was running around the Annapolis Mall on Friday (Black Friday), while she and her friend looked around the stores and at the other kids. Suddenly they heard gunshots and the whole mall evacuated. The rumors are that guns were displayed at the Sneaker Store because young folks got frustrated by the lines. She got home with her friends mother and was absolutely emotionally shattered. The annoying thing is that although people heard shots fired, when the police showed up, the people involved in this 'incident' left the Mall. Police say no shots were fired, maybe they weren't, but gun shots are really hard to ignore.
Personally, I hate the crowds so I never shop on Black Friday, the kids however think it's a great thing to do. My Grand daughter has been participating in the armed assailant drills ever since preschool, the notion of/actual occurrence of an armed attack is terrifying. There are just too many guns in the hands of careless and delinquent people.
I don't want to hear any crap about the 2nd amendment, I've owned guns and maybe I still have a shotgun. My concern is not owning a gun, my ultimate concern is the reckless behavior of idiots with guns.
