Went to a really big membership/discount store today. We walked for what seemed like hours with our hosts, who did the actual shopping. We put some stuff in our shopping cart too, but I put it all back. It's so easy in such a store to say, "What a bargain. I've got to buy it." That's how you end up spending a couple hundred bucks you can't afford. I was gifted a couple of things, for Father's Day. We didn't pass the breakfast cereal, where I was curious to know if they have a fifty pound box of Frosted Flakes. I know my wife will want to go back, and I know I prefer to forget the store exists.
@cmturner,
I feel the same way.
We have discount shops here that you don't need to pay a membership fee that are just as cheap.
The only thing it was good for was pet food and cleaning products.
You don't binge clean or feed the pets like you do with chocolate, cakes and biscuits.
My membership lapsed about 15 years ago.
@izzythepush,
Somebody near and dear to me works at one of these stores. She got me a free membership card. I got by without these bargains for 83 years. Why break the record?
