I've finished my Christmas shopping :) Hate me, Chai?

So whadya get me?

I ceased the insanity of Christmas shopping several back years, opting instead to give at random times during the year. See an item, think that it's ideal and buy and give. Yeah, I suppose that can be done (the buying) during the year and then saved until Christmas/Chanukah; but there's an extra glow when giving in let's say August.

My mother always began in January for December, and my sister buys all year and then has them ready in December/November (Chanukah arrives early at times). It also keeps a mind sane instead of suddenly descending into heavy debt.

Anyway, Congratulations on completing that task.

Does it count if I don't buy anything? My family stop this material merry-g0- round years ago. Children still get stuff from their parents, but the rest of us are off the hook. I do give homemade items like baked goods and soaps. We are all happier for it.

As a tag, she wrote my name on one of those 1" x 1.5" yellow post-it notes, and stuck it to the bag.

I used to have two aunts who sent each other ten dollar bills for Christmas. Times got worse, and they had to cut it to exchanging five dollar bills.

I normally don't do Christmas presents but this year everybody seemed to want to, so okay, we set $$ limits and the rule is it has to be FUN and something you wouldn't buy for yourself. And it was fun shopping for things like that.
