"S. Pombe" refers to "Schizosaccharomyces pombe", which cannot be "credited" unless "S. Pombe" is an institute or a university.

But I've found no clue about the institute of "S. Pombe."

Looks to me as though Science Daily simply made an editorial mistake. That does happen from time to time.

Possibly they meant to credit "The S. pombe Genome Project"?
