Of course, that's exactly what is going on. We are fortunate that RG has a liberal notion of free expression, and that he has the sense not to make his rules into a straight-jacket.

That's what I was thinking. I've been a member of various message boards and always believe that the person who pays the bills and/or does all the work should get to make up the rules.

My question is, are you claiming that be it one or many, that the civil discourse, what it is, and how it is to be expressed, changes with the climate?

Seems pretty clear she's talking about Robert. (He pays the bills and does a whole lot of work for the site.) As such, makes sense that he makes the rules.

That joker has come up with some goofy idea that thread authors wield some kind of power. Earlier, he was attempting to claim that thread authors could control what people post. The boy is delusional. This is one of his sillier claims, and that's saying a lot.

Yes, of course it should! I will do it. I am now the official censor. In fact, I think we should de-sex perpetrators so there will be no more of them. Though I suspect in a very short space of time I will be typing to myself, but that doesnt bother me ! Right is right. Might is right.Wrong is not right. For the greater good. Wont someone think of the children ? You are a faulty machine and I am from the factory. Some opinions are more equal then others. If one bomb falls on Berlin, then 10 bombs, 100 bombs, 1,000 bombs will fall on London.
