Hi,
My husband and I are apart. He's working abroad, and he won't be here on his birthday next week... Could you please give me any birthday gift idea for him? should I make something for him and send it on the day of his bday or just wait until he comes back next month and give him the gift?

@moonlight17,
Even if it's only a small token, send him something. Getting a tangible gift
from you while you are apart will mean a lot. You can save the "real" present
for when he gets back.

@moonlight17,
You can also call his phone and sing happy birthday to him as his first surprise of the morning on the day of his birthday.
That way he'll know you're thinking of him and will have a little part of you there with him on his actual birthday.

@moonlight17,
You can also get a birthday card that allows you to record a brief message of your own. Then he'll have something personal, in your own voice, that he can keep replaying until he gets home to you. Slip in an I.O.U. for a number of kisses that equals his age. You can also put in a photo of yourself, holding a cupcake with a birthday candle, and write, "I love you" on the photo with a fine tip marker.

@moonlight17,
When you decide to gift something special to a man then it's very important to take his likes and dislikes into consideration.

Could you do little gifts that have significance to you both? Without knowing you it's hard to make suggestions, but perhaps something related to where you met, or your first date, things for the things you love about him?
