Which one of the following has the right capitalization?
1. As one court held in a similar case, "[R]elevance is not the only factor to be considered."
2. As one court held in a similar case, "relevance is not the only factor to be considered."

I'd say keep the cap. R since it is a complete sentence, off-set with quotes.

@Roadblock,
[R]elevance is not the only factor to be considered is better as it acknowledges the capitalisation in the original. You can use it.
