No, it means E equals m c squared. To square, in mathematics means that something is multiplied by itself. So, E equals m c squared means that energy (E) equals mass (m) times [the speed of light times the speed of light] (c squared).

As Setanta says, squared, Ori. Again, it's the passive voice,

c is squared by whoever performs this calculation.

E=MC2 is read as Ee equals em see squared.
Which means E equals mass times the speed of light squared. Just thought I'd let you know.

I wasn't trying to be lazy, I have a bed time time, and I clicked this link like a minute before it. My mom would have had my head if I was late. I promise you I normally read the thread before I answer. Being my age is a hard job. xD
