your Anthropomorphism is the problem really , there isn't any , really

not in the Absolute truth of the sun's ramifications for us

@JLNobody,

If anything we must distinguish between absolute truths and the feeling of certainty.

Have you seen the video reasonably certain?

@reasoning logic,
I tried but the link crashes my browser. Thanks anyway.
What's the key point of the video? Does it support or contradict my point about truth and certainty?

@JLNobody,
Are you asking me to tell you the absolute truth about the video? Just kidding around!

You would have to watch it for yourself and make that decision!

I like most of what you share and maybe I should say all of what you share but I am certain that I have not seen all that you have shared so that may not be the right thing for me to say!

Are you able to watch youtube videos? If so type in Reasonably Certain and watch it for yourself!

@reasoning logic,
I'll keep trying. I have the most primitive computer accesses. No friends, no tweets, no utubes, etc. Do I have to join something to watch "Reasonably Certain" ? Let me see.

guigus, Absolute truth is based on personal belief; it's not universal.

disagree here

absolute truth is based on a universal things and molecular structures that cannot be otherwise in the enviroment that they are set in

a star ( sun ) energy is essenial to life , molecular structure is what it is , concrete molecular structure cannot produce life

Absolute truth is under your nose every day, you don't need an electronic microscope to find it. The problem is that we try to divorce it from its concrete relativity, so it becomes impossible. Then we blame it for our mistake. Every small truth of our lives is absolute in relation to ourselves: if I am hungry and have no money to buy food, this is an absolute truth to me, and perhaps to someone who chooses to feel my pain (compassion). However, someone else can write a doctoral thesis on my hungry, thus making it relative, full of angles, and even uncertain. This lovely person can turn the truth of my hungry into a purely relative truth, simply because it is relative to me, and not to him or her. Until you stop looking for an either absolute or relative truth, you will only find absolute truth in a transcendental world, just like good Christians are only happy after dying.

@north,
You're talking about the existence of life, and not philosophy about life. Your conclusions belong in biology, not philosophy.

@JLNobody,
Is your internet access "Aboriginal"?

You don't have to join YouTube to view the videos. All you have to do is type in the URL or click on a valid link to view them.

@Dasein,
What is URL? (I won't even ask about "aboriginal") I'm VERY backward (intentionally so) when it comes to mechanical things. Indeed, I'm still adapting to the ball point pen.

@kenan,
At least philosophers do not conflate the two: they do not think that philosophical arguments are validated by scientific methods--or vice versa.

NO , you missed the my point

as I said concrete is not a life form because of the molecular structure of concrete , concrete can never be anything else but concrete , hence concrete is what it is and nothing else , absolutely true

concrete is not stone , water , plastic , wood , sand or anything else other than what it is

concrete is an absolute truth

@north,
I do not believe cement has anything to do with philosophy. It's not about sophistry; it's about basic knowledge about the world around us that doesn't require "seeking truth."
