@farmerman,
The arguments of States rights are nothing more that the states right to be a slave state?

Really?

Last time I checked, slavery had been outlawed many, many years ago.

@Finn dAbuzz,
we were talking about the principal reason for the US Civil War.

In the pre civil war years, yes, I will say that ALL the "states rights issues" lay as reasons for the Civil War (Kansas Nebraska Act;Fugitive Slave Acts (There were 3 beginning in 1798); Dred SCott; Missouri Compromise; Wheeling Conventions,Nevada ConventionWilmot Proviso;Yancey Platform, and not to forget the main subject of the Lincoln DOuglas Debates). All the above were viewed in the light of "States rights" and they all boiled down to slavery no? and they were seminal issues in the Civil War no?(or are we gonna engage in more Ionus style revisionism?)

I didn't support his dumb ass in the last election and I am confident he is a one term mistake.

@H2O MAN,
I don't think pubbies are gonna get another shot at him; more likely the dems themselves are gonna pull the plug on the Bork Obunga show after one season.
