So I just loved this guy and I thought you might love him too.

Do you know/know of any loveable oddballs?

Nice to see someone cntrolling their supply chain instead of the supply chain controlling the store.

Tried a cola flavoured beer at Potts brewery in Germany.

I'd never heard of this before but was told it's been selling for many years.

What did I think? ......"Thats...... just....... wrong!!!!!"

And our local boutique brewery has a good trade in rasperry flavoured beer. Again Its not something i would purchase but sells well to women apparently.

I avoid corn syrup so I wanna get my hands on some kosher Coke!

I don't drink much soda but once in a while they are just what I need.

@boomerang,
I'm crushed to here that Stewarts and IBC have corn syrup.

For a long time, IBC was my favorite root beer! Sad Though to be fair, I haven't drunk any since I moved to NYC. I guess I'll give Stewarts the boot and go with Boylan's sodas who if memory serves me correctly tout on their label cane sugar.

@tsarstepan,
Boylan's uses sugar but WAY too much of it. It is by far the sweetest soda I've ever tasted. Try Thomas Kemper root beer.

@boomerang,
The Coke made in Mexico is made with cane sugar. I occasionally pick one up for Set when I go to Kensington Market. It does taste different. I'll have to look for that kosher Coke.

Gotta trust a guy who understands Gerolsteiner and Polly water.

My wife and I managed to break ourselves of drinking soda. I might have a soft drink at a fast food place every month or two, but that's about it.

@boomerang,
Hey! I like sweet! Keep in mind I trying hard not to go back to my habit of 5 packets of sugar per cup of tea. I've been on a sugar plateau of 4 packets these past couple of months.

I don't know that I'd call Christoph Niemann an oddball, exactly, but he is wittily exacting in his drawings. I practically live for his blog entries...
This one is on physics as shown through daily life -

this may (or may not, there are so many) be my favorite -
http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/blogs/niemann/posts/2010/10/16hair.jpg

"Obviously, the hair loss theory I just presented is bogus. Hair canʼt be “lost.” Since Antoine Lavoisier, we all know that “matter can be neither created nor destroyed, though it can be rearranged,” which, sadly, it eventually will."
