cartilage piercing

hi i recently got my ear pierced like 4 days ago which is 9/4/10 and it was a bit red and stuff. But when came out of the shower my right cartilage piercing is hurting alott and it was really red. i thought it'll go away soon but when i got to bed i felt a bump behind my piercing and now there's one bump on each side of my cartilage piercing. i have done some research on this. i'm afraid this is going to lead to some surgery or something. i'm thinking of taking the earring out but i haven't yet, if i do will it heal faster? please help me.
