Mitsu Is About To Leave

Neko, so sorry for your loss of Mitsu.

Thank you for sharing. It is comforting to share with other, caring friends but this was also comforting for us.

Mitsu died feeling the love of the one she loved so dearly.

I'm glad you could allow her to rest in peace, with her family.

Peace and love to all.

In about a week her ashes will be scattered at the family stone. Her vet is handling arrangements for cremation by an out of town facility. If you knew Mitsu, Msolga, I'm positive you would expect no
less for her also. She was a delight to have around, with her ingenuelike personality.

She had a quiet sleep, awoke, gave a last protest, then succumbed.
Just couldn't shake that ever growing weariness centered in
her heart. The end we all hope for.
I saw it all.

Be advised, everyone, seeing a loved one to
the end is not for the faint at heart; otherwise you can't offer
comfort. She lapsed off after I murmured silly nothings in her ear,
the same stuff she heard before in happier times.

Ah, neko.
No, it isn't for the faint of heart. I know.
Reading your words made me cry.
What a beautiful tribute.

I am sure that Mitsu has led a very happy and quality life with you. One of my favorite sayings is, "it's not how long they live, but how well they live that matters." Thank God she had a loving family and I pray for a painless passing for her.

I truly believe that hearing is the last thing that goes. So speaking is vital. You did the perfect thing. No one, human or animal, could ask for a more loving send-off.

Right on, Jespah, and it was the familiar voice of her protector/provider who was holding her and bidding her farewell, trying to lessen the terror she had to have been enduring. Thanks.
