Hitler could not possibly have accomplished that goal because of the many stupid things he did just before and as he invaded the Soviet Union--not the least of which was his hubristic and surreal belief that he could conquer the country in six months, and therefore did not need to provide for his armies in the wintertime.

Historical "what-ifs" are only worth discussing if there is actually a plausible basis for believing they might have been. Hitler was a military idiot who destroyed millions of Germans through his arrogance and incompetence. From the first days of his invasion in the summer of 1941, there was never any probability that he could defeat the Soviet Union.
