I have been told that the Latin for "the Anglican Order of Preachers" is "Ordo Praedicatorum Anglicanae." Is this correct, or is there a better translation?
I believe that it is incorrect.
I'd say: Ordo Praedicatorum Anglicanus
The adjective (Anglicanus) should agree with the noun it modifies (Ordo) in
gender, number and case (masculine, singular adn nominative).
Thank you, George. That is what I thought, too. Just for my comfort, does Ordo Praedicatorum Anglicanae mean anything? Does it mean "the Order of Anglican Preachers"? Or is Anglicanae simply wrong in number, gender, and case?
