More pet names

I suspect that 'pet name' means the same as 'nickname'.

Rose/Rosie/Ros/Rosie child/[many nicknames come from some action, some event in one's life, from many things besides a connection to one's name].

Rose child/kid/plus any other nickname that comes to be from a particular situation.
