After all of the hullabaloo, who here still thinks soccer/futbol is an absolute bore?

@tsarstepan,
I don't begrudge anyone who enjoys watching soccer, but it's never been my cup of tea. There's too little scoring and the geographical/political rivalries aren't enough to hold my interest. Then again, I love baseball and a lot of people think that's boring too, although we may not even have a season this year the way things are looking.

When I was a kiddo I enjoyed soccer fairly enough, specially playing it!
What I don't like about Soccer is the human environment around it and the Gorilla tribalism...that said rather have the other gorillas entertained with soccer then punching peepz on the street! C'est la vie!

That guy doesn't have the, jutting jaw, moonface that Leno has. Or his girth, for that matter.

@hingehead,
I follow Leno. his hair is whiter, his weight is same as it was , and has a lantern jaw. This guy is not Leno…as clearly shown in picture above.

@tsarstepan,
Stay classy world of psychopathic soccer hooligans!

MEXICO CITY, March 5 (Reuters) - Mexican authorities said at least 22 people have been injured in a brawl on Saturday when soccer fans stormed the field during a top flight match between mid-table Queretaro and last year's Liga MX champions Atlas.

Pictures and videos shared on social media showed people being beaten, kicked and dragged while others had been left lying on the ground, covered in blood, in what appeared to be the seating area of the stadium in the central city of Queretaro.

@Walter Hinteler,
Pep Guardiola was on the telly the other day speaking of the premiership title saying people preferred Liverpool to Man City.

I don't that's true, I think people prefer Jurgen Klopp to Pep Guardiola.

There's a warmth and humour to Klopp, Guardiola just seems pissed off all the time.

@Walter Hinteler,
It was my first World Cup.

I was three years old.

It seemed quite normal that the World Cup was in England and that England would win.

My three year old brain expected more of the same.

Funny enough, the one memory that really stands out is of the postage stamps issued at the time.

All our letters suddenly had footballers all over them.

@tsarstepan,
File this under Fantasy Football?
The U.S. men's national soccer team wore orange armbands in support of gun control

Well meaning bit of collective protest. But we all know, no progun member of Congress is going to be moved by this thoughtful action. Their gun lobby overlords won't let them be affected (let alone affected enough to support any gun control reform).
