When a guy is 14 the criteria is usually: alive and not previously male.

When a guy is 18, she may need to at least have a hot body. Previous criteria still apply (the general trend is towards harder to please in life).

When a guy is in his early 20s, she may actually need to have a pretty face to cut the mustard.

Eventually she'll even need brains, and be fun to talk to.

These are all wild generalizations but the point is that it's different for each individual and even then different at different stages of their lives but physical attraction (beauty) is a big part for most people, as is being enjoyable company.

What makes a girl attractive?

Boys like girls who are clean, happy, funny, interesting - and like them.

Worth a very good laugh. Although, I think that sometimes applies throughout a male's life. Some may not reach the '18-stage.'

Guys usually have a very big range of girls they are attracted to. Teen magazines make you believe that guys only like a very specific type of girl and that is completely wrong. While individual guys can very a lot, an average girl will fall into the "attractive" range of a lot of guys.

they obviously have to be cute, but if they put on a bunch of make-up it kills it.

Then they can't be all brainless or bratty.
