that noise filter thing bugs me
It's in the works. Rob said it was intended to stick once selected, but isn't working that way. You, me, and a buncha other folks have made similar requests.

cool, i never log out so i thought it was weird that it just switches at random every few hours
dj, I don't understand the question. Also, what noise filter? I'm lost here. But I think I might actually want to know about this.

I've sent in a trouble ticket, but I figured I'd share my experience here.
I hadn't bothered with changing "filter noise" setting, but it turns out that "filter noise" filtered out a thread which I had started. Very disconcerting.
