Correction, the neoconservative movement is the one leading the charge of stripping the American people of "everything else". At our local convention we passed several resolutions to remove things like the Patriot Act, and lessen the scope of FISA into our party platform, soon to be taken to county, then state, then national. With enough like-minded people, we will take our party back.

This thread is proof to me that this site is divided not left versus right but moderates versus the far-right.

Even though I look like an uber-liberal compared to Pinochet, I'm actually a moderate and this is confirmed by the score from politicalcompass.com

I am no socialist, nor am i after a new world order. It would be nice to go about my buisness without any interferance from the state because we now all seem to be potential RucSac carrying martyrs or that would be the way it seems with all the new bullshit anti terror laws.

You see I make my choice when to lay down my life not when some pen pushing bureacrat decides it. First and foremost and every single time it asked of me it would be my family. if this Great country of mine was invaded, again every single time it were asked of me.

As for guns I have heard all the arguments for and against, and I am happy in the Uk if you are caught with a fire arm it is an instant 2 years in the Nick, I do believe they are trying to extend that and introduce a minimum 2 years for possesion of a knife. now that for me is protecting the populace from.
