You could have if you wanted to,htere was quite a few reasons the americams got invloved in WW1,the sinking of the luisitania and the zimmerman telegram to name a few.

You only entered WW2 after the japenese bombed pearl harbour :lightbulb:

McCain only stated the next 100 years if necessary. He, likely was thinking in terms of a staging base in the event of hostilities with Iran versus occupation. Which is an excellent idea. Much the same as was done in Germany after the war.
