In light of the recent immigration vote, I offer up the following with obvious apologies for the lack of PC...
Jose and Carlos are panhandling at the freeway offramp each holding a sign.
Jose drives a Mercedes, lives in a mortgage free house and has a lot of money to spend. Carlos only brings in 2 to 3 dollars a day.
Carlos asks Jose how he can bring home a suitcase full of $10 bills every day. Jose says, "Look at your sign." It reads: "I have no work, a wife & 6 kids to support"
Carlos looks at Jose's sign. It reads: "I only need another $10.00 to move back to Mexico"

I used to live in Abilene where we had panhandlers galore, I did some raw math on a specific "hot spot" and realized that these guys were easily making $20/hr

I met one once who wore a sharp, black suit with tie, and white shirt. At first, I thought he worked for the McDonald's at which I was eating. I thought he was a visiting manager or something. When he asked for some spare change, I almost choked on a handful of suicide-fries. He had a good gig going.:headbang:

Sounds like something that happened to me in San Francisco. A panhandler asked me for money, when I ignored him he thought I was a foreigner because I did not speak english.
