another early salvo fired in the upcomming recession

FOXNews.com - GM Posts Largest-Ever $38.7B Annual Loss, Offers Buyouts to 74,000 Workers - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News

they want to replace 74,000 workers with "lower paid employees"

meaning:
1. They are outsourcing their operations
2. They intend to hire illegal immigrants
3. They are firing off experienced employees in favor of new people

either way I wouldn't buy GM anytime soon lol

Ohio, at least for mine Smile

It's sad really. I remember a few months back seeing a bumper sticker saying "Don't put a 'Support the Troops' ribbon on your foreign car!". Funniest thing is it was on the back of a V6 Saturn Vue.

The V6's in that particular year and model came straight from Honda.

People still have this set definition of "Buy American!" and don't realize that this misconception is robbing them blind! I mean when I think Japanese parts assembled by Mexican workers.... oh yeah, that's when I think REAL American! While the American automakers have had a track record of outsourcing and moving jobs across the border, the Japanese automakers are popping up plants here in the States and giving us good paying jobs. They tend not to screw us over usually... something about ritual disembowelment and jumping off of buildings, which although "illegal", still happens here and there.

@Silverchild79,
Are you gloating? Or complaining? Last I heard you supported a more of the same globalist CFR candidate that wanted to give away free citizenship to 12-20 million defacto criminals, and continue on our path of foreign investment, or I should say, other foreign countries path to US investment.

@Silverchild79,
GM hasn't posted a profit in like 15 years. Their company is bankrupt many times over, but the fed saved them for some stupid reason.

They are going out of business because they pay everyone too much, have stupid unions, but most of all, MAKE A **** PRODUCT.
