What astounds me is the people who buy a little econobox, then drive like hell everywhere at breakneck speeds! My wife and I just took a trip up to Dallas ( about 250 miles) , I set cruise on 73 where I get the best mileage, and the little cars were passing me all the time, little 4-bangers wound up tighter than Trump. they bought the thing for the fuel mileage then abuse it.
I get a consistent 17 MPG with my '98 GMC Sierra short bed, 305 Vortex engine.

Wow 17 whole miles? I get 25 and that's when I have my fourbanger wound up tighter than a nuns ass.

and i also work my ass off. i do a normal 9-5, plus run about 12 websites. i work 80 hours a week on average. everything i have, is because i worked hard for it. nothing was handed to me.

Damn you, my tranny won't exceed 145 Sad I doubt I get 20, probably closer to SUV mileage at that speed.
