seriously don't

calling someone out over something they've said, criticizing by their stance, is one thing. Calling names is another. In the eyes of this site the only people who are truly wrong are those who can't debate without attacking others.

My guess, this is where he'll clam up. Any Muslim that has ever visited this forum always had problems with this subject. And usually ended up with then nolonger posting. I don't think S of G is any different.

I request that "Sword of God" change his handle to something less insulting and threatening.

""Sword" is obviously a Muslim. His posting pattern indicates that he may be a "sh*t disturber" and we don't even know if he is in North America. His posting pattern is not about debate but about throwing anti-West and anti-Christian rhetoric. For all we know he could be in some religious madras in Pakistan.

Why am I opposed to the handle "Sword of God"?
I find it insulting and threatening to all of us non-Muslims.

As "Sword of God" - he is communicating that he is a righteous weapon for his God. Weapons are used for one thing - to kill. We have seen what these "Righteous Weapons" are capable of. The handle "Sword of God" can be taken as a threat of violence and "Hate Speech".

I may have called him an idiot - but what he says to all of us through his handle is far far worse.

Does anyone agree or disagree?

I believe there are limits, personally it don't offend me but with a handle like that you gotta expect some ****. Not to the point of name calling but heah, he uses it with the intent of getting a rise im sure! A somewhat comparison would be like me having "Vagina Lover" as my handle. Some would laugh, some would not. Is it allowed? I think so. While this site is pro freedom of speech, it is not a democracy, it's a private business.

Once again - I ask the mods - can you lookup his IP address and tell us where he is posting from?

As for the site being a "business" - yes it is but the business generates potential revenue through user generated content. If you alienate the high value posters in order to appeal to the "masses" then the high value posters might leave.

I didn't say it was appropriate, i do believe it is permisable.

This is a discussion/debate forum. My self speaking, i am not here to appeal to anyone. I am here to talk about what interests me. Alienation works both ways as i'm sure you still remember. The one's who can truely put there emotions aside are the ones that stay to finish the debate. You and i have worked past issues, i'm sure we will work past this. If you think you can't, i'm sure i will miss your posts.

We are all biased. I've heard some visitors say this site leans way to the right, i would be inclined to agree and that's OK. It is what makes our little community what it is. I also believe that is what defines us as a people/ideal. What i mean is, even though we are conservative based, all views are still allowed. IMO we are conservative because we are not yet convinced. If some one has a better point i'm all for hearing it. It there up for a little critisizm, LOL.

I don't know if I'd seek out a liberal site to have a "debate Olympics" because we're not a conservative site

we are a neutral site with a conservative majority

Still, should anyone find someone they want to have a one on one debate with, have them register and I'll see if I can swing a mono e mono showdown over a specific issue
