For as long as human history has been documented, we have been the dominant species, why is that? First we have to observe the similarities inbetween humans and "animals". We can divide the thought process of animals into 2 areas, Instinct and Concrete Inteligence. Instinct induces to repetitive behaviour, and concrete inteligence is the capability to solve problems directly in your presence. Now what seperates us humans from them is Abstract Inteligence (planning for the future) and Creative Thinking (the ability to invent), since we defined these levels of thought, it has always been clearly divided the animal world from the human world, but is this a rule? Cientists discovered a tribe of chimpanzees which manufactured their own spears to use for hunting, now I know that there is a big gap inbetween spears and super-computers, but they are demonstrating Abstract Inteligence (making spears for future hunts) and Creative thinking (imagining and creating a spear), both qualities considered as solely human, does this prove once and for all that humans were a result of evolution, no, but it tips the scale more than a little. There is no more gap in the chain of evolution, these caracteristics can and are produced by normal evolution, as our generation can personally observe.

I wonder how the church will pronounce itself on this?
