@Drnaline,
Wesley doesn't have the political baggage a lot of other canidates have. The president needs a good understanding of the military.LMO.

He's in a cult. They wear special underwear, you know? They only dropped
Polygamy from the religion when it was demanded so before Utah was allowed
into the union (and some of them are still holding onto it). They're racist in
some aspects. Also, he comes from the "bluest" state there is, where he couldn't
hold back gay marriage, needles for junkies or stem cell research, and his
"management" of the big dig project has been abysmal.

But hey, what does any of that matter. I hope he gets the nomination.
That's 38% for the other side automatically according to some polls.

Everybody is racist in one aspect or another. His cult is legal from what i've heard. I think there are no laws joining one as well.

... but you are willing to overlook that and support him for president?

Would you vote for a muslim who was against gay marriage, stem cell research and needles for junkies?

Would you vote for an atheist who was against gay marriage, stem cell research and needles for junkies?

Cult may be an exaggeration on my part, I just think they have enough bizarre customs to qualify them as one.

Again possible.

@Drnaline,
Interesting...

Most muslims, especially those in Al Qaeda, are decidedly against abortion, contraception, same-sex marriage, stem cell and any other kind of scientific research and "liberalism" in toto. What are we fighting them for again?

Oh yeah... they think Jesus was just a prophet and not divine.

Well, have you ever really thought about the name "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints? Ever look into what exactly they believe.

Not that different in some ways from "Christians" but a little different. They don't believe in the "father, son and holy spirit." Jesus is a seperate entity from God, though divine and eternal. A small difference but Christians usually don't tolerate small differences, do they? Probably as different as a root break off as Islam.

It amazes me that the conservative religious establishment is pooling behind Romney because they think he's a viable political prospect, and in the process they will have to bend their beliefs around a few things... in short, they will have to compromise their religious beliefs in exchange for power and politics, and isn't that what their movement is supposedly founded on NOT doing?

Like Intelligent Design, this will be a good chance for them to shoot themselves in the foot in the minds of anyone with any bit of reason.

Because they want us dead or did you forget.

You probably think that as well. It's ok.

Yup, i even went up to Salt Lake to check it out. Funny watching the whole town shut down and go to church, and what a church it is. Decent people.

Do they? Well this one does, does that surprise you?

Is he not a viable prospect? Have you ever voted for someone not in your faith? Why would you think i would have to bend my beliefs if i chose to vote for him?
IMO religion is politics. I also think your reading into it a little much.
