I presented the cartoon as an example of political commentary in a cartoon . The meaning intended by the cartoonist may only be explained truthfully by the cartoonist himself .
If you think about it , you could insert Republican and have the same meaning these days .
Many of our problems are at this moment being discussed to death without solutions in sight , much less viable plans to arrive at solutions .
Witness the Democrats so opposed to Bush's policies , and not offering any of their own .
