His extra-maritial affair could be his downfall. Does anybody think the liberal press will pass on that one?

His health might be a factor.

He wasn't exactly a national hero to everyone in New York City, where people knew him.

He has even been know to flip-flop.Very Happy

You guys crack me up.Laughing

You complain about Clinton but yet you support Guliani who did practically the same thing by having an extra-maritial affair.

I can't say I'm surprised though.Very Happy

@Curmudgeon,
I got a lot more to complain about Clinton about than his affair.

I think if you look at them you will find a few things that distinguish the two:

1) Did not happen while holding the highest position in the United States of America and did not happen in the White House
2) Did not lie under oath

You asked a question, you got an answer. You don't like the answer, then don't ask the question.
"practically" doesn't cut it. Did Rudy "practically" lie under oath to Congress? Did Rudy "practically" stick a cigar up a womens vagina? Does this make you "practically" suprised?
Sounds to me you hold others up to a higher standard then people you agree with. In my book turnabout is fairplay, we are talking politics here arn't we? Or religion?

@Brent cv,
I'm aware of the differences. I find it ironic it's ok for a Republican to have an extra maritial affair but not a Democrat.

That's what I find understandable. Republicans have a double standard when it comes to moral issues.

Where did you read any one said it was "OK?" for either to do it. First prove it's "ok" with us then you may have a case with the double standard. But i think you not get past first base.

The only "question" I asked was about the liberal press. Sounds like you are ranting about Clinton who isn't even on the ticket.Very Happy

If you feel you need to vent about Clinton go for it.

You asked.

You know what my answer was, do i not qualify as "anyone?"
Is my answer confined to only Rudy?
Do you not know that when you ask a question, you have no control of the answer? If you "feel" i'm venting about Sklinton then so be it. If i have a comment about him i will air it and if i need your opinion i'll ask.

@tumbleweed cv,
I personally don't care about anyones affairs. I simply pointed out that the liberal press will have a field day with it.

I don't plan to vote Republican in 2008 anyway. I don't want to get into the pointless "prove it" debate again.Very Happy

Evidently you do, you brought it up? You only want to play the prove it game when you think you got a shot at doing so. I understand you feeling it pointless because to you it is.

I have no double standards. I do not agree with either man having an affair. However the differences of exposure are obvious. If you are the President of the United States you are going to get more attention than the Mayor of New York.

@Brent cv,
I think it is worse for the President to do it too. At the same time I find both men used poor judgement.

Giuliani used poor judgement in other issues while he was a Mayor that might be brought up as well which has nothing to do with Clinton.

Giuliani has been criticized for embracing illegal immigration. Giuliani had a policy of preventing city employees from contacting INS about immigration violations. He ordered city attorneys to defend this policy in federal court.

Then there is the partnership with Bernard Kerik.

Still sticking to one side, hum. some one once said to me in this thread, "I can't say I'm surprised though." Shall i post a link to the many things Clinton has done, it is extensive. If you got a link to Rudy, i'd like to see it.
