American electronics firms boast in their advertising of Japanese-style devotion to quality and reliability.

what is "Japanese-style devotion" ?

Could you please explain this english wording .

Since the late sixties, early seventies, the Japanese have been known for their relentless dedication to continuous improving quality. "Japanese-style devotion" means that they claim to have a similar dedication to improving their product and eliminating quality defects.

I am not able to log in with my old user id "tintin".
Its not letting me to log in. I don't understand what happened to the forum.

I had to create a new user id "tintin-and-calculus". Is there anybody faced the same problem ?

Quite a few people had trouble logging in, T&C. I just reset my password, had to do it a few times but it finally took.
