It depends what came first. He was athletic, young and good looking before the joust that knocked him out. After that he was not active anymore and he began to get fat and having all kinds of sex. Catherine of Aragon was quite attractive and he may have loved her. As she didn't provide him with a male heir everything went downhill from there. She lost the male child at child birth maybe from syphilis.

Al Capone was athletic, and young once... Nietzsche was intelligent and perceptive... It is terrible what ravages disease would wreck the body with...We may at least agree that Henry became mad... There is enough evidence toi suggest syphilus was possible... What are we trying to prove, and what are our chances of proving it???...

Well there you go... When one is an absolutist monarch, and the whole kingdom has to do as you say; then what concern of the kingdom are your physical problems, except for the very real fact that people's minds are shackled to the their bodies, and as one goes, so goes the other, and that power absolute in the hands of an absolute madman is a dangerous thing indeed...
