@mark noble,
Personally, I love both cats and dogs. As for dog owners? There are certain breeds of humans as depicted in the Christopher Guest mockumentary Best of Show that are done pitch perfect.

If you only see this film, you might think that these characters are hideous parodies and caricatures of real life dog owners but I had the chance to work at a NYC dog kennel for almost 8 years and there are people out there that insane for their dogs.

@ossobuco,
I've been afeared of them here, but they were worse in Los Angeles, knock on wood. Shewolf told me of them in Rio Rancho, though.. acckk. Not far away. The good thing is that I recognize their whatchacallems (nests).

A cashier at Walgreens' a week or so ago was going on about being bitten by a brown recluse. I didn't think (having checked maps) that there are here. Yep, up in the mountains somewhere. That cashier had a scary experience, as she told all of us at the counter, and well she should have, as a warning. See, she sat on this log..

I live in a household where the manager is a grey and white tabby, Possum-cat!

As long as I'm obedient, we have no problems. Rolling Eyes

@ABYA,
I REALLY want a cat!
Too bad I can't get one,
my dad has cat allergies.
He used to own a cat,
until he had to go to the doctor
because he was sneezing and coughing
a lot.
Every time I have a chance to get a cat,
it's always at the wrong time.

I detest all animals unless they are food.

@dyslexia,
I got a new turtle today.

I don't think I want to eat it.

Hi Folks,
Are there any dog-lovers out there? Any cat-lovers?
Do Any of you have any problem accepting dogs/cats or the owners thereof?
Tell me about your four-legged friends - what breed is the more intelligent, playful, aggressive, loving, etc - IYO?

Hope you join in, and thank you for doing so.
Best wishes.
Mark...

I prefer dogs. They are more like me than cats. Their love, once given, tends to be unconditional.

@Riddler101,
Hi Riddler
Its a shame that you can't have a cat, I bet you would really care for and look after it well. But it could be a blessing in disguise my friend, pets can be a bind.

I have both cats and a dog. The cats have just learned to put up with the dog.
My cats are older - my all white one is very old, I've known her longer than my husband, she is very sweet. The other is a gray tabby - he is a fat and grumpy old guy, but very loveable towards me.

The dog is the youngster. He is a schipperke - very energetic, intelligent, and quite a handful in a loving way.

@tsarstepan,
Tsar, I loved Best in Show. I should put it on my Netflix list, as I could stand to see it again.

Ever-body knows (whether or not they are honest enough to admit it) that cats is the spawn of SATAN . . .

@tsarstepan,
Best in Show is a favourite of mine.

I tried to turn it into the family Christmas movie.

I love all animals. I have a Border Collie named Prince, aptly I might add. I also have three cats: Willow, Fireball, and Marmalade, which also are aptly named.

I used to have chickens, as well.

What I would really like, though, is a bearded dragon. They are very neat and I don't think my cats would eat one.

We also have a cat that enjoys keeping a family of pets.
