Talkin' Bubbles

I saw a bunch of bubbles floatin’ by on this stream, see? And just for a lark I ask ‘em. “Hey, what are you anyway?” A whole bunch of ‘em yelled back “I’m a bubble,” kinda angry like. Then, every once in a while one would say “we’re this stream,” real calm and kinda monotonous. Then I saw just one or two floatin’ along and they didn’t say nothin’, but instead just looked back at me as if to say, “we’re a stream and there ain’t a damned thing we can do about it.”
