Hi and welcome to a2k. I can only guess at what is meant by elevated language. It might be the difference between a speech by Lincoln or Roosevelt or Churchill and a speech by GW Bush. The former used elevated language--precision, power, and thoughtful expression. The latter, a more casual, less clear, less precise way of expressing himself.
But I'm guessing. Didn't your teacher give you a hint? Was there a context?
Some people might say "elegant" and "refined" and others would call elevated language "high falutin'". You pays your money and you takes your choice.
