The New York Times Science Times Section recently asked twenty five knowledgeable people to write six hundred words on a series of questions.
I thought the writing was particularly good and a good stepping off point for discussion.

It's not a destiny, but going astray. Once one led astray, one should go through it if getting back is impossible.
