I'm sure there are a few people out there who aren't aware of the famous collision between the
Mount Blanc and the
Imo on December 6th of 1917. I encourage anyone not familiar with this story to click on the accompanying link. It's a hell of a story and one that seems to be fading away with the passage of time. I do my best to keep this particular story in circulation.

That is truly one hell of a story. I gave that story to my son as a history lesson a few years back. It sure is something you read that you never forget.
That's horrible. I'd just read about the Port Chicago explosion in San Francisco Bay and thought that one was truly awful, but not nearly as many died.
