Oats are positively good for the heart. Here in the UK, oats are the only foodstuff which is allowed to make that claim. Sure, other goods claim to be good for the heart, but only oats can say this is scientifically proven.

You have probably heard this before, but it is said that taking zinc and vitamin C is said to decrease the severity of colds, and decrease the chances of developing a cold.
Blue and black coloured berries are said to excellent for general health as they are full of anti-oxidants. Tea also contains anti-oxidants.
Those who eat reguarly eat oily fish are said to have a reduced risk of depression - the Omega 3 oils are great for the brain.
Coffee is also supposed to be linked to decreased incidence of depression.
