The free market would only make the education system worse. Cities like Detroit and even my own city, Milwaukee would suffer immensely--even more so than they do now. People do not have enough money to pay for school for their in ghettos; they barely have enough money to survive. Not to mention, privatized schools would be able to create their own curriculum, which means that many schools would adopt things like creationism as main subjects, because schools in the inner cities would most likely be funded by churches. As many problems as schools may have now, they will only get worse if they were privatized.
